The Lutheran Legacy Campus

As we continue to make plans for the move to the new hospital, there is interest in what will happen to the current, legacy campus.  

The Lutheran Hospice will remain on the legacy campus. West Pines Behavioral Hospital, in partnership with Acadia Healthcare, will break ground on a new facility in the coming weeks in Westminster.  

To learn more about plans for the he legacy campus, we encourage you to visit the Lutheran Legacy Campus Master Plan, which the Wheat Ridge City Council adopted after closely collaborating with SCL Health, now Intermountain Health.  

The master plan document reflects the community's vision and outlines a framework for future development. It is not a site plan, it does not prescribe specific uses, nor is it a zoning document. Ultimately, it communicates to prospective owners the community's expectations. 

The redevelopment of this 100-acre parcel in the heart of Wheat Ridge offers a tremendous opportunity for the City to build a bright future for the benefit of its residents and neighbors, while maintaining respect for the history and legacy of Lutheran's role in the community.
