Intermountain Health Front Range Hospitals Welcome First Babies of 2025

Madden, the first baby born at an Intermountain Health hospital in Colorado in 2025, rushed into the New Year at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 1, at Intermountain Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver.

Madden was welcomed by his mother, Ineesha, and weighed 4 pounds, 2 ounces.

Two other baby boys weren’t far behind. 

Intermountain Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette welcomed its first baby of the New Year at 2:44 a.m. Ezra weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. His parents are Lindsey and Marco.

In Wheat Ridge at Intermountain Lutheran Hospital, the first baby of 2025 arrived at 4:01 a.m. Oliver James weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces.'

In Grand Junction at Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital, parents Taylor Ferraro and Joshua Arnold of Rifle welcome a daughter, Olive, at 3:23 p.m. Jan. 1. Olive weighed 7 pounds.

Noah was the first baby born at Intermountain Health Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton. He arrived at 8:32 a.m. Jan. 2 weighing 9 pounds, 9 ounces. His parents are Faith and Nate of Commerce City. 

Intermountain Health’s five Colorado hospitals together welcomed 8,838 babies in 2024. That is an increase in births from 8,780 in 2023. 

According to statistics gathered by the hospital labor and delivery teams, the most popular names for baby boys included Liam, Mateo, Oliver, James, and Noah. Some of the most popular names for baby girls in 2024 were Charlotte, Olivia, Mia, Amelia, and Camila.
