St. Vincent Healthcare Congratulates Penny Clifton

475x285PennyAward

Billings, MT - Organ, tissue, and cornea donations have a powerful, life-changing impact on all those involved.

“There are more Montanans registered to be donors than in any other state in the nation. This means that we need to have thriving relationships with donation companies like LifeNet, our tissue recovery agency, in order to respect the dignity of our patients’ wishes to be donors,” says Penny Clifton, chairwoman of the Donate Life Committee at St. Vincent. “With the support of donor’s families, we are able to honor the donor’s desire to give at the end of life and uphold the integrity of those wishes.”

Penny’s dedication and commitment to donors and their families were recognized in a big way recently as she was named Donor Liaison of the Year for 2018 from LifeNet Health.

“I think that our Donor Wall in the Fortin Lobby and our recent Honor Walk for an organ donor in ICU are helping all of us to celebrate the importance of donation,” Penny adds. “During the Honor Walk, organized by ICU Manager, Susan Amundsen, the hall from the donor’s ICU room to the OR were lined with family and hospital representatives in a silent tribute to this young man’s ultimate gift as he made his journey.”

We are so thankful for all the hard work that our associates put towards our mission and values. Congratulations, Penny!
