St. Vincent Healthcare Celebrates St. Vincent de Paul Feast Day and Thanks Caregivers
Tuesday, September 27, St. Vincent Healthcare celebrated service and a commitment to our mission and one another through the example of St. Vincent de Paul. We celebrated this feast day at St. Vincent with a number of activities for our caregivers for fun and fellowship.
Doug Shepherd, Regional director for Mission Integration at St. Vincent , shared with Q2 News about the importance of recognizing St. Vincent de Paul Feast Day.
“We provide physical nourishment, medicine, knowledge and all kinds of skills that come to the bedside, but really when it comes down to it, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. And so, St. Vincent de Paul Feast Day reminds us that it's our duty to care. It's placed upon us as caregivers to bring the charity that we've received to the poor and vulnerable.”
