St. Mary’s Medical Center Welcomes New VP of Finance

Ashley Thurow

St. Mary’s Medical Center is pleased to welcome Ashley Thurow, CPA, as its new Vice President of Finance. As a key leader on the hospital Senior Leadership Team, Ashley will lead our continued efforts towards reducing the overall cost of care and expanding value-based care for the betterment of patients in our community. 

Ashley is a skilled leader and passionate about improving healthcare in our community with a proven ability to lower costs. She joins St. Mary’s with nearly twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry with a focus on healthcare payment reform.  Her past roles at Deloitte, Evolent Health, and Children’s Hospital Colorado have spanned both hospital systems and health insurance plans.  Ashley is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds business degrees from the University of Arizona and the George Washington University and is currently adjunct faculty at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.   

Most recently, Ashley has been serving as Executive Director of Monument Health, a clinically integrated network (CIN) and joint venture of Intermountain Health and Primary Care Partners, comprised of over 900 providers managing 75,000 lives under value-based risk agreements.  The CIN has a proven track record of partnering with providers and health plans to improve health outcomes and reduce the total cost of healthcare in Western Colorado. 

“My role at Monument Health has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited to take on a new opportunity with St. Mary’s,” Ashley continued, “My passion has always been around healthcare reform and promoting positive change.  My work is not done, and I look forward to the next challenge ahead improving how we serve patients in this community.” 

There will be an elongated transition to her new role at St. Mary's to ensure no disruptions to the important services Monument Health provides to our community.
