LAUREL, MT  –  On August 15, SCL Health Medical Group opened a new clinic in Laurel, Montana, offering walk-in care 365 days a year with no appointment necessary. The clinic is located in a new development called the Canyon Creek Retail Center, conveniently located near Walmart and Laurel Ford just north of I-90 at First Avenue.

“Laurel is 20 miles from Billings, which is a long way to go for walk-in care,” said Jeff Zavala, MD, Chief Medical Officer of SCL Health Medical Group in Montana. “Our primary care clinic here in Laurel offers same-day appointments, but this community has really lacked walk-in options. So we’re proud to address that gap and deliver comprehensive healthcare when and where it’s needed.”

Open 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, including holidays, the new clinic will treat a range of conditions including fever, flu and cold, animal or insect bites, sprains and strains and injuries that may require stitches. Services will include X-ray, lab and EKG, with providers staffed at all times, every day of the week.

Like all SCL Health Medical Group clinics, the new Laurel Walk-in is designed to make healthcare access seamless and convenient. Just as importantly, the clinic is an access point for SCL Health’s vast network of hospitals and specialty care, which has served Montanans for more than 100 years.

“When everyone has access to care, it improves the health of the entire community,” Dr. Zavala said. “We want to ensure every Montanan can enjoy that kind of access close to home.”
