SCL Health Begins Construction on New Primary Care Clinic in West End

SCL West MOB_Exterior RenderingBILLINGS, MT  –  SCL Health breaks ground this month on a new primary care and walk-in clinic in West End. The clinic’s new two-story, 60,000 square foot clinic space will bring much-needed healthcare services to an area of Billings that, relative to other areas of town, lacks options for primary care.

“Our mission is to bring primary and specialty care to Montanans when and where they need it,” said Jeff Zavala, MD, Chief Medical Officer of SCL Health Medical Group in Montana. “That’s why we’re growing our Medical Group practice across the state, and we’re excited to provide this growing community with easier access to care.”

The new clinic will offer primary care services by appointment on weekdays, plus walk-in care open 365 days a year with no appointment necessary. Roughly five family medicine providers, five walk-in providers and three internal medicine specialists will make up the full-time medical staff to start, with a total of 10 internal medicine specialists planned.

Additionally, SCL Health uses patient-friendly tools that allow online scheduling and check-in, which makes it easy to get care when needed, whether it’s planned or unplanned.

“West End is the fastest-growing area of Billings, and it’s the area of town with the least access to primary care services,” said Dr. Zavala. “Identifying and addressing these gaps in care is core to our mission and our promise to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care close to home.”
