Intermountain Health Delta Clinic Celebrates New Location
Intermountain Health Heart and Vascular – Delta Cardiology has expanded access to specialty medical care for the community by moving to a larger clinic in Delta, Colo., located across from Delta Health.
The new clinic at 155 Stafford Lane is Intermountain Health Delta Clinic and is home to Delta Cardiology.
The new clinic has more than 2,000 square feet, four exam rooms, a procedure room, and office space and is close to many healthcare services in Delta. The new space also accommodates rotating specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation, who will provide clinic appointments for patients twice a month.
Intermountain Health celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Aug. 14.
“We are proud to offer more access to specialty care for patients in rural areas of Colorado,” said Joya Boyd, executive director for Intermountain Health Western Colorado Medical Group. “These providers partner with St. Mary’s Regional Hospital which serves a 250-mile radius and is the only system to offer many of these specialized services.”
“Having access to these appointments close to home means people will be more likely to engage in the healthcare services they need,” Boyd added.
The move is a result of cooperation between several partners who were interested in expanding heart care in the community. They include Delta Health, Intermountain Health Delta Cardiology and St. Mary’s Regional Hospital.
“This expansion in local services represents a step forward in helping create and increase access to care for those in our community,” said Jonathan Cohee, chief executive officer of Delta Health. “By working together, we can ensure that patients have access to the best possible care without the need to travel outside of the county.”
Patients can receive general cardiology and heart rhythm care with a pathway to other services in Grand Junction including cardiac rehabilitation, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, vascular, interventional cardiology, and heart failure.
