Wheat Ridge, CO - The Leapfrog Group announced the Spring 2021 Hospital Safety Grade today, and Lutheran has kept its top grade for the 12th time since 2012 and the 8th time consecutively.

Despite the challenges of caring for so many during a worldwide pandemic, our associates' commitment to patient safety and quality was recognized by The Leapfrog Group. These scores are based on specific public data collected over about three years and ranks more than 2,700 eligible hospitals nationwide for their efforts.

We can share even more good news about this accomplishment throughout the SCL Health system, as these sister hospitals also received an “A” grade:

  • Good Samaritan Medical Center
  • Platte Valley Medical Center
  • Saint Joseph Hospital
  • Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center
  • Vincent Healthcare

Many of our associates have contributed to the excellent care that our patients experience every day. Their dedication and superior efforts to providing high quality, safe, patient-centered care are recognized and appreciated.v

At Lutheran and at SCL Health, we strongly support transparency and access to hospital quality information. Some resources that use universally recognized calculation and reporting methods, such as the Colorado Hospital Report Card website.
