Introducing Kathryn C. Self, MD

We’re pleased to introduce Dr. Kathryn (Casey) Self, our newest full-time KidsCare physician.

Dr. Self earned her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She then completed a pediatric residency on military active duty at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. After the residency, Dr. Self practiced as a pediatrician for four years with the US Navy, first on the island of Guam and later in Quantico, Virginia. Since 2006, she has practiced pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center in Martinsville, Virginia, where she provided both inpatient and outpatient care. Dr. Self is highly knowledgeable of pediatric problems including asthma, upper respiratory infections, gastrointestinal problems, ear infections, and growth problems.
