Intermountain Health Breaks Ground on Comprehensive Health Clinic in Fruita, Colorado
Intermountain Health celebrated the groundbreaking for the new Intermountain Fruita Primary Care Clinic on Aug. 10.
The 5,500-square-foot clinic will expand access to care for people in Fruita, Colorado, and surrounding communities.
The space will hold eight providers in primary care, walk-in care, and rotating specialty clinics in OB-GYN, and cardiology.
The new location also reflects Intermountain Health’s ongoing commitment to investing in healthcare close to home.
“We have been thoughtful about how this project has progressed and what services will best fit the needs of the community,” said Joya Boyd, executive director for Intermountain Health Medical Group, Western Colorado. “We know the relationship between a person and their primary care provider is one of the most important healthcare relationships, so we wanted to increase access to that service and make it close and convenient for people in Fruita.”
To create a greener, more welcoming campus for patients and the community, planners have included more than 20 new trees and 68 parking spaces designed for convenient patient access.
The clinic is expected to open in summer 2027.
