Intermountain Health Plans to Expand Ownership of Hospitals and Clinic Operations Group in Southeast Idaho

Hospital 2

Intermountain Health plans to expand its partnership with physicians in a network of facilities and providers in Southeast Idaho that includes two local hospitals along with 60+ affiliate clinics that employ about 2,300 physicians and caregivers.

Plans include transitioning Surgery Partners' ownership interests in the network to Intermountain Health, which includes Mountain View Hospital, Idaho Falls Community Hospital, and affiliated clinics.

Intermountain Health, Surgery Partners, and local physicians have been collaborative owners of the network since 2023.

Operations will remain separate and continue to be managed by the existing management team. Existing physicians and affiliated provider groups will maintain responsibility for providing day-to-day care to patients.

Providers and caregivers employed by these facilities will remain in their current employment arrangements, providing the same high-quality care that patients are used to at these facilities.

Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the execution of binding Securities Purchase Agreements between Surgery Partners and Intermountain Health following requisite Mountain View Hospital physician member and physician governing board approvals. Unless and until these approvals are obtained, there is no assurance regarding the completion of the transaction.
