Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital Breaks Ground on New Specialty and Primary Care Facility to Enhance Access for Patients in Weber County
Community leaders and caregivers from Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden broke ground on Tuesday for a new 80,000-square-foot medical building that will increase access to specialty and primary care for patients in Weber County.
The new project will bring multiple specialty clinics together in a new facility with additional space for treating patients. The clinic is planned to open in spring of 2028.
“This project represents an important investment in the health of our growing community,” said Judy Williamson, president of Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital. “By bringing more services together in a modern, convenient setting, we can make it easier for patients and families to receive high-quality care close to home.”
The new medical building is designed to make healthcare more accessible for patients while creating additional space on the main hospital campus.
Several clinics currently located in the existing medical office building will be relocated into the new North Campus facility. The upgraded space will have primary care offices along with expanded space for specialty clinics, such as sleep medicine, diabetes, endocrinology, and pediatrics among others.
The new medical building is a continuation of Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital’s North Campus expansion. The Endoscopy Center and Porter Family Medicine Clinic recently opened while the Surgery Center & Sports Medicine clinic have been serving patients for years.
