Holy Rosary Food Services Associate Brings Good Humor and Smile to Work Each Day

475x285 HRH Suzie Klanke

Miles City, MT - Trips to the hospital can sometimes be stressful, but Holy Rosary’s Wilson Street Cafe Supervisor, Suzie Klanke, takes pride in turning these feelings into a smile for all guests who enter the cafeteria.

“I truly feel blessed to come to work every day and work with a team that I love and within a great community,” Klanke said.

Suzie has been with Holy Rosary for nearly 37 years and has been a great asset to the food services team. She works diligently to provide quality food for each guest, visitor and associate, and leave them with a good chuckle.

If you’ve ever stopped by the cafe, one of the first things that you may notice is the infused water, complemented with the clever ‘phrase of the day,’ which Suzie generates herself.

Some of her phrases have been: “I don’t know but I’ve been told, cucumber water never gets old,” “Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy,” “We go the extra mile just to see your lemony, lime smile,” and many more.

Galatians 5:22 mentions that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. A visitor to the Holy Rosary cafe will certainly feel all of this during their experience with Suzie and her team, and leave with a clever saying stuck in their head that will keep them coming back for more.

“It’s great because the infused water encourages people to stay hydrated, but also helps them benefit from the antioxidants in the fruit,” Klanke said.

One of SCL Health’s Core Values is Good Humor, and that is certainly a characteristic that Suzie brings to work each day. She creates a joyful and welcoming environment for all patients and associates, even during some of our most difficult times.

In the midst of COVID-19, Holy Rosary’s sit-down cafe option has halted, yet her smiling, helpful, face is still serving folks, even if the infused water has had to pause.

“I like to be happy and laugh, so this position at Holy Rosary is great for me,” Suzie said. “It allows me to have fun and be creative, all while having fun and engaging with customers.”

Thank you, Suzie, for your dedication to Holy Rosary and for creating a happy atmosphere for your customers and our patients.
