Dr. Jay Bishoff's Advice About Painkillers

Salt Lake City urologist Jay Bishoff, MD has evidence from a study showing that urologists give patients too many painkillers, and he's using this evidence to urge fellow doctors to lower the amount of painkillers they prescribe to patients. For the study, Dr. Bishoff took surveys of urology patients for three months at several Utah hospitals.

Prescribing lower doses of painkillers can prevent prescription drug abuse, which remains one of America's worst drug problems.
